Enjoy experiencing the Fishing Cat, the ruler of aquatic landscape in its best remaining habitat in the Flood Plains of Bengal. Baghrol Basa is situated in the middle of the Fishing Cat habitat with highest density and a possibility of sighting from inside. Our large local team is dedicated to the protection of the wild Fishing Cats. Our daily safari patrolling also ensures sighting to every guest. We have maintained a 100% sighting record in 10 years. Baghrol Basa Fishing Cat Expeditions are for a minimum of 3 nights & 4 days, which is a good duration to explore this unique & exclusive Flood Plains habitat. More days are better for more opportunities of sighing, photography or filming.

Wildlife Activity 

  • Day Safaris , Dolphin Watching, Bush Walks, Bird & Butterfly watching.
  • Night Safaris for the nocturnal wildlife watching.   

Dress Code

  • Jungle friendly Chemoflage, dull colors (no vibrant or fluorescent colors).
  • Walking Shoes / Gumboots (Preferably waterproof).
  • Rain Covers for you and the equipment. 

Fitness Level

Participants should be fit enough to walk for a minimum of 500 meters to be able to access this flood plain and practically sight a wild Fishing Cat. We provide individual helping hands to every guest to help them walk or hold their bags.
